The IBC Education Foundation has suspended its Spring Golf Tournament for 2011.

IBC Education Foundation’s 12^th Annual Spring Customer Appreciation and Scholarship Fundraiser Golf Tournament

The IBC Education Foundation (IBCEF) and Colorado’s independent community banks announced the recipients of their 12^th Annual Scholarship Competition in May 2007. This year the IBCEF received more than 40 applications! Requirements to apply for a scholarship were: A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher; attend a public or private Colorado university, college, junior college, community college, vocational/trade school; have a banking relationship at an IBC member bank and completion of an application and essay question.

With the overwhelming turnout for the student scholarship fundraiser golf tournament and the generosity of our sponsors (listed below), the IBCEF was able to award a total of $6,000 in scholarships this year. Scholarships were awarded in two categories: Bank customers and bank employee or a child of a bank employee. Each recipient will receive $1,000. Recipients in the bank customer category were: Katherine Anarde, sponsored by Fowler State Bank, graduated from Fowler High School and plans to attend University of Colorado-Boulder. Bryce Blum, sponsored by Adams Bank & Trust, graduated from Pine Creek High School and plans to attend either the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs Colorado State University. Zachary Owens, sponsored by Valley Bank & Trust, graduated from Weld Central High School and plans to attend University of Colorado-Boulder. Recipients in the bank employee or child of a bank employee category are: Amber Bristol, sponsored by Fort Morgan State Bank, graduated from Fort Morgan High School and plans to attend Fort Morgan Community College. Sarah MacDonnel, sponsored by Colorado East Bank & Trust graduated from Las Animas High School and plans to attend the University of Colorado-Boulder. Morgan Schlegel, sponsored by The First National Bank of Las Animas in La Junta, graduated from Swink High School and plans to attend either Adams State University of Otero Junior College.
