The IBC Education Foundation was formed in late 2004
with the primary purpose to provide educational programs to community
bankers, as well as to support financial literacy information to the
public. The Foundation is an exempt public non-profit organization
formed under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Our Mission
- To be a source of a variety of affordable education and
training for community bankers to assist them in various areas, such as
regulatory compliance, lending, operations, human relations, security,
etc. The purpose of these activities is to enhance the knowledge and
skills of community bank employees who operate in a highly regulated
industry.
- To support continuing professional education for
community bankers and directors offered through public colleges and
universities.
- To support financial literacy initiatives for the
public.
- To support broad-based education and training programs
offered to other industry and community groups.
- To offer scholarships to graduating high school seniors.
- To receive contributions and grants as an exempt
organization.
