Community Banker Roundtables

(formerly known as Banking Forums)

Join us for lunch!  Bring your appetite and attend the IBCEF’s Community Banker Roundtables.  We’ll be in your area to bring you news and information you can use.

The topic for the October Roundtables is “Community Banks- Sizing Your Capital Hole and How to Fill It” – In the shadow of turbulent and uncertain capital markets, Ms Shetty, a 15 year veteran of financial services investment banking will explore the state of the depository market, addressing which community banks are completing capital raises and why. Her presentation will step through valuation metrics as viewed by bank investors and who is looking to invest in community banks in 2009 and 2010. Prepare your bank to be more marketable to the capital markets and expand your investor base beyond your community by collecting insight from successful transactions completed outside Colorado.  We encourage you to come and network with bankers at any of the five roundtable locations.  Meet new people and reacquaint yourself with old friends.  Our open format provides you an opportunity to suggest topics you would like to discuss and share ideas and information with your colleagues.

Roundtable Participants and Career Banker Network Participants attend for FREE.  IBC participant banks, that are not Roundtable Participants, may attend for a fee of only $100 and IBC non participant banks may attend for a fee of $150.  Multiple people from your bank may attend the roundtables at NO additional charge.

Tax Deduction:  The IRS requires a notice on all registration forms, which informs the attendee of the amount of the registration fee representing food and beverage that is deductible as an ordinary business expense.  The IBC Education Foundation estimates the food cost of your basic registration is $15.  Under current tax law 50% of this amount is deductible as an ordinary business expense.
